60 Minutes (New Zealand)

While on staff at Television New Zealand I worked in the News and Current Affairs departments on the 60 Minutes Current Affairs programe. One of the more memorable shoots was on the then new Melbourne trauma unit and its revolutionary design.

More recently I have shot 60 stories on the ITN international cricket series and on New Zealand rugby players travelling internationally to play for foreign clubs.

ABC (Australian Broadcast Corporation)

One of the longest running Australian current affairs shows, Australian Story travelled to New Zealand to shoot a story based on the legendary Packer family, detailing the path to owning one of Australian’s media empires. I was the Director of Photography for the Wellington based interviews.

ALJAZEERA

The Earthrise television series explores solutions to today's environmental challenges. The show filmed a story on “Zealandia”, the fenced enclosed wildlife sanctuary just minutes from downtown Wellington, New Zealand. I co-directed and shot the story that covered this unique project.

The world premiere of The Hobbit, Sir Peter Jackson’s trilogy series following on from The Lord of the Rings series, brought the international spotlight on Wellington. AlJazeera covered the premiere and detailed the benefits The Lord or the Rings and The Hobbit have brought to the New Zealand film industry. I shot the story, edited it, encoded it and uploaded it to the Aljazeera FTP server.

BBC

The BBCÂ’s Blind Date Reality TV show came to New Zealand with two lucky contestants and travelled around the country filming the show. I was the Director of Photography.

While living in the United Kingdom I also filmed part of the BBC documentary series Body Spies, documenting the struggle many people have in the UK to lose weight.
